AdvanceOnline Solutions provides professional and educational environmental health and safety services to corporations, associations, and government agencies involved in many industries, including construction, transportation, manufacturing, energy, and utilities. We develop and deliver high-quality, affordable online and classroom training for students and corporations. Our Business Solutions team works with customers to implement custom training solutions including content and delivery. In addition, our experienced Safety Service consultants design and build customer specific safety programs to maintain and exceed compliance to government, industry, and company defined safety standards and requirements.
We have an extensive library of e-Learning and video-based content designed to help companies comply with federal health and safety regulations, including the OSHA Outreach titles: OSHA 10 Hour Construction, OSHA 30 Hour Construction, and OSHA 10 Hour General. We are one of a limited number of companies with the authority from OSHA to provide these courses. Our DOT content was developed in conjunction with the Department of Transportation and encompasses all of the acute and critical Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
AdvanceOnline’s management team has collectively over 75 years of experience in safety training development, delivery, and consulting. Our consulting team includes Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) and Industrial Hygienists with extensive years of experience in developing and implementing client-specific safety programs. Our OSHA Authorized Trainers provide Onsite Training covering the OSHA Outreach Program courses and will customize an OSHA training plan to fit the customer's unique needs. Our consulting services include full-time, part-time and job specific solutions in many areas including industrial hygiene monitoring, risk assessments, mock OSHA inspections, safety manual development and expert witness services.

AdvanceOnline complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, AdvanceOnline is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
Kent Urdahl currently serves as the President & CEO of AdvanceOnline Solutions and as Chairman of the Board. He was promoted into these positions in 2009 after joining AdvanceOnline Solutions in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer. As CEO, Kent has increased the revenue significantly both organically and through acquisitions including 2 safety services companies and 2 digital video training providers. Before joining AdvanceOnline, Kent worked for Lexmark International (a former division of IBM) in various roles including District Sales Manager and EMEA Network Product Marketing Manager (based in Paris, France). He joined IBM in 1985 as an Engineer in the supplies division and worked on ink delivery systems for printers and typewriters.
Kent graduated from St. Olaf College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry & Math. He graduated from Purdue University in 1985 with a Masters of Arts in Chemical Engineering. In 2005, Kent earned a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
John Oren currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Compensation Committee for AdvanceOnline Solutions. He has served in these positions since 2007. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Oren & McCormick Ventures, Inc. ("OMV") a company he founded in 1979. OMV invests in and operates logistics-oriented businesses. John founded SandBox Logistics in 2012 based upon his many patents focused on the frac sand logistics chain. SandBox was acquired by US Sillica in 2017. John serves as Co-Chairman of Wild Wing Capital LLC, a business that invests in and operates logistics focused technology businesses including TUYA Technologies LLC, where he also serves as Chief Executive Officer. John has founded a number of other public and private enterprises focused on same-day, express delivery and distribution of industrial products.
John graduated from the University of Houston in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology.
